Launch coincides with the debut of Colt’s 50th Metro Area Network in Nagoya,
continuing the company’s extensive investment and expansion efforts in Asia
Tokyo and Nagoya, 19 Oct 2017 – Colt Technology Services today announced the launch of its SDN-based On Demand Services in Japan. The introduction of the On Demand portfolio marks the latest development in Colt’s heightened activity in Asia. Since January of this year, the company has unveiled several large-scale expansion projects in the APAC region, solidifying its position as a leader in providing intelligent connectivity with both the scalability and flexibility to satisfy high-bandwidth cloud-based applications.
With Colt On Demand Services, enterprises will have the ability to create and modify connections and bandwidth in near real-time through the Colt IQ Network* customer portal. Customers will no longer need to wait through long lead times in service procurement and delivery. On top of the On Demand Services launch, Colt has announced the debut of its 50th Metro Area Network (MAN) in Nagoya, comprising both the latest in Optical and Ethernet-based architecture. The Nagoya MAN will provide availability to the city’s key commercial districts. Including Nagoya, the Colt IQ Network now boasts on-net routes with true end-to-end connectivity across 28 countries and over 200 cities across the world, including Tokyo, Sydney, Busan, Chicago, New York, London, Frankfurt, Paris, and others.
